The present
There is no anxiety when we live in the present. Anxiety comes from worries about the future or thoughts about the past. We cannot influence nor the future (not with our worries at least!), nor the past, so it is a shame that we destroy and loose the present!
Autistic children give us the perfect example of pure devotion to the now, with their concentration on an object or detail. They are there for a hundred percent with this object and their concentration does not disrupt with anything that goes on around them.
It would be good if we would practice too to live in the present. An idea is to put a nice stone or a little object in your pocket. Every time you touch it, look around and think something beautiful about that what you observe. That way you bring your mind back in the present.
There are so many nice things around us, that we don't notice because we are not in the present!!
