The mother of Tasos mentioned that he keeps rocking back and forth, almost continually. Furthermore, during the time that we played together that was indeed his main behaviour. After a few months his mother said that the rocking had completely stopped at home. He showed interest in his surroundings and started exploring. He was still rocking often in the playing room, but it had vanished from his day-to-day life.

We shouldn't try to stop stereotypical behaviour. The child needs it in order to feel better in their own skin, which allows them to pay better attention to us. Such behaviour will automatically stop if we don't suppress it, but instead use it to get closer to the kid!
