Proud parents
When I ask the father of Dimitri: "How are you?", he answers me: "Oh, well, he isn't talking yet!" And that answer goes with a deep sigh.
I answer him: "Yes, you are right about the talking, or rather the lack of it, but he does hear you very wel, I am sure, and especially what you just said about him and how you feel about that!
Of course we all want Dimitris to talk. Not just words, but a proper conversation. We must never forget though, that the child is what he is and he can't help it. All children need their parents to be proud of them in order to grow and not to feel sad about the things that they don't do yet. All children do the best they can and that is all there is to it!
